General Studio Policies
No refunds. No exceptions.
The Secret Garden Pole Fitness Boutique, LLC is not responsible for any valuables left out of the student’s sight while at the studio.
Must be 18 years of age or older to register and attend class. NO EXCEPTIONS.
We are a private, inclusive pole dance studio.
The Secret Garden is a safe space for all individuals. We welcome the LBGTQAIA community to become students with open arms.
No nudity. Students must be covered in proper pole dance fitness attire at all times. Pole dance or dance-related shoes are only allowed in the dance studios. No outside shoes should go past student changing areas, bathrooms, or cubbies.
Students may not enter a class after 10 minutes of the class. NO EXCEPTIONS. Arriving more than 10 minutes to class will result in forfeiture of spot, class credit, and may be subject to a $15 fee. No refunds will be given.
Prices and studio offerings are subject to change. The Secret Garden will try as humanly possible to notify students in a timely manner.
No outside food or drink, besides covered water bottles are allowed in the dance studio.
Students are responsible for advising the Instructor of any injuries that may inhibit or create an obstacle to fully participating in class.
Turn phones off or on silent during class.
If you wish to book a class, workshop, series, or purchase anything for another individual, call the studio first.
Under no circumstances should students alter or adjust the sound/studio equipment and lighting in the dance studios.
Review the studio COVID-19 policies frequently, as they may change without notice.
Drop-In Classes & Workshops
There are no refunds for missed classes or workshops. No exceptions. Studio account credit may be awarded on a case by case basis.
Class card expiration dates are firm, except in case of long-term illnesses and injuries. Both of which must accompany a doctor’s note to be altered.
Class cards or workshops purchased can not be transferred to another student.
Students have 6 hours prior to class to reschedule or cancel before incurring a $15 late cancel/no show fee, this includes students added to a class from the waitlist. Students using a free pass or single class card will forfeit the class card/free pass if they late cancel or no show. The student will be removed from classes from the next 5 days if the late cancel/no show fee balance cannot be collected. Students will be notified via email or in-person when this occurs. If the balance persists after the 5 days, the student’s account will be frozen until the balance is paid.
Students that leave without returning, with more than half of the class instruction remaining (e.g. 30 mins for 1-hour classes & 45 minutes for 90-min workshops), will be charged the $15 late cancel fee. Exceptions will only be considered in the case of an emergency when communicated to the instructor or desk staff prior to leaving.
Inclement Weather
The Secret Garden will make every effort to contact students if classes are cancelled due to inclement weather.
Our primary communication methods of inclement closures will be email, phone, and social media.
Make sure your contact information is up to date so that there is not issue contacting you.
Class Calendar
The studio schedule of classes is subject to change at any time.
Instructors are subject to change at any time.
The studio staff will do everything possible to inform students of these changes in a timely manner, with the understanding life happens.
Medical Concerns
Should you become injured while attending a class at The Secret Garden, you must notify the Secret Garden management, fill out an injury report, and provide a written note from a doctor.
Your purchased classes or workshops must be used within a year (1) from purchase. Your membership contract can be paused for 6 months maximum.
A written note from your doctor releasing you from rest is required to resume classes at The Secret Garden.
8-Week Pole Series
Students are allowed to make up two classes per series if another level on the same track is currently being offered. If another level is not being offered, the student has the option of attending Open Pole and requesting the available Instructor to cover the missed material. Contact info@sgpole.com to schedule a make up or identify another level class to attend.
There are no refunds on unused or missed classes.
Open Pole privileges are available immediately after enrolling in a 8-week series.
Individuals that are pole, sensual dance, flexibility, and/or aerial instructors outside of Secret Garden Pole Fitness Boutique are NOT permitted to enroll in an 8-week series, 6- or 5-week intensive unless they are a current Orchid or Wisteria Member. They are welcome to take drop-I’m classes or workshops. If you do not want a membership but would like official Instructor Training, please email us at privates@sgpole.com to learn about our current offering.
Private Instruction
All private bookings should contact privates@sgpole.com.
A $25 non-refundable, non-transferable studio fee is required to book private instruction.
Students must contact the studio to book with all details of what they are looking for with instruction, budget, frequency, and preferred instructor (if applicable).
You must notify The Secret Garden 24 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel private instruction. If rescheduled or canceled less than 24 hours in advance, a $15 fee will be incurred.
Only one (1) rescheduled session per appointment. Afterwards, it’s considered a new appointment.
Parties
All party bookings should contact privates@sgpole.com.
A $100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due upon booking the party to secure the date and time.
All parties starting at 10 pm or later require a $200 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, and is due upon booking the party to secure the date and time.
Parties booked within 48 hours of the requested party time are subject to an additional $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit.
Parties booked within 24 hours of the requested party time are subject to an additional $100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. PLUS the balance is paid in full.
Any changes to the party must be submitted to The Secret Garden no less than 3 business days before the designated party time.
All guests who plan to witness, attend, watch, or accompany the party guest must pay, even if they do not participate. No exceptions.
The Secret Garden has the right to refuse service to anyone the Secret Garden staff, instructors, and/or management believe are intoxicated, under the influence of illicit drugs, and/or a harm to themselves or others. There be no refunds if a guest is not able to attend the party. No exceptions.
Membership Packages
All memberships must be secured through our online payment service via MindBody (MBO). Your online purchase receipt will have the autopayment/ recurring payment date. This is the date in which the monthly membership cost will be pulled from account.
If the autopayment is declined, your account will be frozen and you will not be able to attend any classes until payment is received. No exceptions.
Members are allowed to adjust their autopay date forward or backward five (5) days per contract term.
Members are allowed to pause their membership for a minimum of thirty (30) days twice per contract term.
A $25 fee will be charged for all declined autopayments.
Students who experience more than 2 declined autopayments in a year (12 months) will be barred from signing up for any membership contracts in the future. No exceptions
You can start your unlimited drop-in class privileges immediately after purchasing a membership package.
Open Pole privileges are available to all membership holders immediately after purchasing their membership.
The drop-in cancellation policy also applies to membership holders. No exceptions.
Early cancellation of membership contracts are subject to an early cancellation fee outlined in the executed contract.
Per the membership contracts, Orchid, Wisteria & Rose Members can sign up for one (1) weekly pole series per session using credits. Members wanting to sign up for two series simultaneously must pay $150 for the additional class. No exceptions.
Pregnancy
Students are no longer permitted to take pole dance fitness, condition, or advanced/intermediate sensual dance classes after being 6 months pregnant. Students must contact studio management to pause their membership.
A doctor’s note is required to attend beginner-level sensual dance classes.
Until the student returns after the birth of their child, all payment contracts can be paused for 9 postpartum months maximum.
Recording and Photographs
Do not record Instructors without their consent.
Live streaming yourself, your instructor, or your class on any online, streaming platforms (i.e. Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, TickTok, etc.) is not allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Videos and photos taken on our premises at any time cannot be used to promote other businesses unless given explicit permission by SGP Management.
Instructors have the authority to allow, or restrict, video recording or photography during their class, series, intensive, workshop, private instruction, or party for any reason at any time.
Students are allowed to take pictures or record themselves. Students are NOT allowed to take pictures or record videos of other students, instructors or staff without their consent. Every reasonable measure should be taken to ensure others are not in a student’s picture or video if they do not consent.
Private studio rentals are available upon request for a fee for students and external clients to use for personal and commercial picture and recording purposes. Please send inquiries to privates@sgpole.com
